The guys over at Revolution Report were able to snag a few new imaages of the Nintendo Revolution console, on display at the GDC. The disappearance of the “mystery port” that was previously seen on the back of the console is noticeable, as is the miniscule size of the controller. It was expected that Satoru Iwata would announce the official name of the product, but all new announcements regarding the Revolution will have to wait until E3. We have two more photos, after the jump.

Microsoft Xbox Team Working On Portable Gaming Device?
Posted by Jesse Easley Categories: Portable/Mobile, Rumors, Xbox, Xbox 360,
It seems that Microsoft does have a portable gaming device in the works, and it isn’t the Origami. that’s not the Origami. As rumored, the device will play movies, games, and music - sounds like a PSP-killer to us. Mercury News says that, “Game executive J Allard leads the project, and its director is Greg Gibson, who was the system designer on the Xbox 360 video game console. Bryan Lee, the finance chief on the Xbox business, is leading the business side of the project.” No other details have really been released, but don’t expect to see it until mid-2007.

EA Games announced today a new expansion pack for Black & White 2, called The Battle of the Gods. Apparently, the wonderful Aztecs are very upset that you defeated them with your Wonderful (or evil) god, and are out to get revenge. After many human sacrifices, they have managed to raise their own evil deity, calling you out to protect your glory. Now, just because your opponent is evil doesn’t mean you have to be as well. The expansion follows the standard gameplay and you are given the option to defeat the deity with good or evil. Battle of the Gods will feature a brand new creature, two new lands and four new miracles. An all new enemy unit AI system enhances the battle experience but players will have to watch out for two new enemy armies and their ultimate weapon: the new enemy creature. There will also be six new challenges and other new content for players to explore. Black and White 2: The Battle of The Gods is slated for an April ‘06 release.

A Video Introduction To Will Wright’s Spore
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Adventure, E3, PC, Strategy, Trailers,
Sometimes, people like their gaming experiences to go a bit deeper than the simple run-and-gun while shooting hookers mentality. This is why we have come to love the stuff that Will Wright puts out there. Case in point: Spore. This is one of the titles we look forward to getting our hands on most at E3. Be sure to watch the video above to see Will play through a few scenarios in a game that see you starting out as an amoeba, and traveling through an evolutionary adventure.

Rumble Roses XX Trailer
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fighting, Sports, Trailers, Xbox 360,
Being that the Xbox 360s only current wrestling game is exclusively available in Japan, we have to settle for Rumble Roses XX here in the States until THQ and Midway release their grapplers to get in on the action. Of course, Konami is alaos working on a follow-up to Rumble Roses, dubbed Rumble Roses XX. They have just released a trailer of the game, which shows off a lot of T and A, along with a bit of the games mechanics. Of course, Rumble Roses XX is a bit over-the-top as it pertains to a wrestling title.

This one is a third-person adventure set between seasons two and three of 24. We will give this one two weeks, at which time we will pick a random winner. Good luck!
As it turns out, it looks like a correctly built Xbox 360 should not be overheating at all. The problem is, there are some Xbox 360s out in the wild that were built incorrectly. A group of German modders took apart two Xbox 360 units that were purchased independently of each other, and they found that the protective foil had not been removed from the heatsink. The problem with that is obvious - the heatsink is being insulated by the foil and plastic, and thereby cannot do it’s job. Honestly, we are surprised the Microsoft would be shipping units with such an amateur mistake.
